• The map does not end at the plains. The balloon has been asked to fly further; what it finds is between you and the aeronaut. Two new locomotive tiers travel along.
• The patent office. Filling the mainland's ships earns standing; standing buys new rights to build, starting with the balloon and the town bridge.
• A town bridge: a settlement boxed in by its own railway may now grow across the line, at a price.
• Harbor manners: a full freighter pays and casts off at once, no second ship enters an occupied quay, and the anchor stays down.
• Signals now take every lane and both ends of a dual hex, and upgrades follow the rails already laid.
• Facilities open with money in the till and only close once it is empty.
• Line ribbons keep to the right, so the way back shows beside the way out.

The bank trusts these prove satisfactory.
