Changes, as filed:

  • The game now runs substantially faster on large networks: a 500-train stress scene went from 14 to 24 frames per second, with the hottest train arithmetic rebuilt as a compiled extension on Windows and Linux alike.
  • Building no longer causes brief stutters on big maps: laying a track piece updates only its own corner of the world.
  • The game has found its voice: construction confirms and refuses audibly, demolition sounds like demolition, the till rings on purchases and sales, goals chime, trains whistle, ships sound their horn, wrecks are no longer discreet, and locomotives chuff on a real recording when you lean in close.
  • The world hums along: birdsong over land, waves near open water.
  • Default master volume now starts at the halfway mark for new players; your saved setting is untouched.
  • Hold Shift to pan the camera twice as fast, with keys or edge scrolling. On a controller, click the right stick.
  • The Build tile answers to B.
  • A proper boot splash: two trains crossing on the company field.
  • The main menu gained a Credits page carrying every license the bank is obliged, and pleased, to display.

The bank trusts these prove satisfactory.
